When you use your iPad, iPod or smartphone, take a digital photo, stream music from the web, order your favorite food at a kiosk, or watch a blockbuster movie in 3D, you experience the world of digital media. From social networking sites like Facebook to games on your mobile device, digital media is found just about everywhere and in almost every business. The evolution of digital media has created a demand for trained professionals.

Students in the Digital Communications program at the Indiana County Technology Center (ICTC) will be provided with an educational starting point to pursue exciting careers in this exciting field!

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Digital Communications program at ICTC provides students with fundamental skills through hands-on activities and exposure to the diverse career paths in the DMT field, including Video Production, Web Development, Image Editing, and Photography. The program provides a great educational starting point to pursue rewarding careers in this exciting field.

Experienced instructors will provide you with fundamental skills through classroom exercises, as well as hands-on, real-world activities where you’ll apply your skills on school-wide or nonprofit organization projects. You will use Adobe Photoshop software to prepare graphics for web or video productions and will create a digital portfolio to showcase your work.

Certifications

Students who qualify may obtain their Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) credential, which demonstrates proficiency in Adobe digital communications tools.
